    Fenzi Dog Sport Academy?

I heard someone at a show touting this online training site, and thought I'd ask around a bit more. Anyone heard anything? Good? Bad? Thanks!

It depends on your goals and training philosophy. I attended a workshop w/ her and was disappointed a few years ago because she is a "positive" only trainer and I believe in correcting where corrections are due.

I just started the brilliant recallers course- I am new to online training but I like the idea.

    Classes seemed expensive to me.

I thought so too. The woman at the show said she did the $65 level and really learned a lot from watching her troubleshoot the videos that other people would turn in. She said many dogs had the same or similar issues as hers, so she felt like she didn't miss out by not purchasing the higher level course and being able to send in a video.

I've taken 3 or 4 classes at the audit level. Worth the money.... No more than an hour private lesson. They were mostly very good, giving me lots to think about. I'm a bit more balanced in my approach but I got some great ideas from her.

As outlined on their site there are numerous classes offered at three levels: gold, silver and bronze. At the Gold level you video your exercises and submit them for critique throughout the class, the other two are audit spots with access to all the lecture notes, as well as, gold students submissions, plus silver can post their own questions/comments on the forum for a response as well. So regardless of your training philosophies, you get plenty of feedback and can still work with your dog as you see fit. It's comparable to a private lesson or video session with any professional trainer (like Bridget Carlsen).

I've taken a few classes over the past two years with various instructors, at different levels and my experiences have all been positive. You get a LOT more information and can have more detailed training discussions because you have the instructor at your keyboard everyday for six weeks straight and you can address an issue that arises during a training session that day, versus the next week like the one day/week classes you typically attend. There are a few of our older board members who compete in Obedience who take their classes as well, and hopefully they will chime in about their experiences.
