Not sure if this is a big deal or not

I got an email from the AKC yesterday tell me Brooks qualified for Rally Nationals. We've only done 4 Rally Trials, 3 Novice and 1 Intermediate. It says we qualified for the Novice class. Since it's in Ohio, which is an 8-9 hour drive I'm thinking about doing it.

I'd appreciate feedback from others with more experience whether it's really worth going or not.

From what I’ve heard it’s a really fun experience. I know quite a few people who have qualified. With Obedience, you need to be among the top OTCH pointed dogs in your breed so it’s only for the advanced classes which makes it more competitive than Rally, but even so, being invited for Rally is an honor. I think Rally is the day before Obedience, so you could go, compete in Rally and stay to watch some of the top Obedience dogs in the country competing. I think it would be a fun trip!

Grizz was invited for Novice, but it was too far to go to. If it were close enough of a drive, I would do it just to have fun. And maybe score some cool ribbons. LOL

I would have gone when Sam was invited if it was close. I think it would be a great experience.
