    Dock Diving - Class 2

We had our second class today. Penny has ZERO issues on jumping in so we are working on technique. She gave me pointers on when to throw and where to stand we we got to almost 15ft. not award winning but big improvement over 7-8ft! I was quite happy

She did one extra lap of the pool today but was MUCH better at getting up the ramp and giving me the toy (not doing 10 extra laps or standing on the ramp with the toy and not getting it out of the pool).

With that - we have a competition this weekend. I have to decide how many heats to do but we'll see how things go It is also different with more people around so you never know!

ONe thing - she is a HANDFUL to manage. thank goodness she isn't like this at home. She is loud and lungy when it isn't her turn. Lots more work to do there!

Gonna be fun! Of course Penny is excited and I would assume you want her that way when she's ready to jump.

    Good luck.

Have fun! Sam is a handful when we're waiting. He wants up on that dock so badly, he thinks every turn is his turn.

Hammer just likes diving at the local boat launch. He has a fear of most men so we don't want to risk anything at a competition. 15ft is great! Good Luck and just have fun!

Sounds like Class #2 went really well as with her "cutting down her laps" looks to me her focus toward the sport is really tuning in. I don't think you will have any problems with her understanding "her turn". I would think a well behaved dog like Penny, would show a different personality toward something new. More impatience to do this new thing.

Thanks for sharing and truly believe she'll have more "air time" in no time. Go Penny! And Hats off to you on that amazing bond you so lovingly created. Hope I can do the same with my pup.
