    Finished our CD today!

We started our CD journey earlier this month and finished today. Three for three, decent scores, two firsts and a second, and most importantly, three really good ring experiences for my sensitive boy. Nearly all of our points lost were on heeling. The heeling boogeyman is real! I plan on entering Open in June.

Also, of note, out of 500+ entries at this weekends trial, we were the ONLY Labrador!

Fabulous. Great job and you should be proud.

But really??? In what universe is there only one lab out of 500 competing dogs?

Thank you! I am proud. It's been a journey to get here.

Well, there were not 500 dogs, just 500 entries. Which is a lot. But probably 100-150 dogs? Herding dogs are big here, so lots of Border Collies, some Tervs and Mals, a few Aussies. Of course, Goldens were the dog of the day.

    Congrats!

And few labs competing in my area too! (not sure if there % would be as small as your situation there!).

Hmmmm... I hope your being there with a Lab and finding success will encourage more Lab owners to give it a try.

Good thought, but unless I'm cleaning up at high levels AND we're flashy, it's not gonna happen. Goldens are kicking some serious Labrador butt in the performance arena...
