      New Title!

Sass earned her CD today with a 2nd place (lost a run-off for first to a more experienced dog). Very proud of her - 3 tries, 3 legs, all with placements in tough competition.

Next is Westminster for Chloe and then it will be Cookie's turn to show in Novice!

Funny thing though, what screwed her up on the run-off is she apparently doesn't understand that she can do a heel free (off leash) without having first done a stand for exam (I said "heel" and she didn't come with me at first). We discovered this Friday in class and I didn't have time to fix it before today. It shouldn't be hard to fix, but I have never had one become so pattern trained on this particular issue before! Her heel free during the actual class (when she got to transition from the stand for exam) was a thing of beauty. Had to laugh at her - but really, I am SO pleased because she really showed her little heart out. And each time she was in the ring she improved, so the future is bright :-)

      Congratulations.

I've somehow trained Oban that a Stand is immediately and necessarily followed by Beep (backup) We are not competing but it bugs me.
