    It's been a long road

Brooks and I finally got our elusive third leg for his Novice Obedience title today at the Talbot Kennel Club. It has taken us 10 trials over the course of the past year (our first Novice trial was at Talbot on April 2nd last year), but we finally did it. We were entered yesterday but NQ'd on the stand for exam, which has been problematic for him. I was very happy that he lost zero point of the SFE today.

Brooks will be 3 years old on May 6th. So far he has the following titles. Rally Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Obedience Beginner Novice and now Novice, and a Junior Hunter title. I'm hoping to be ready to compete in Senior Hunter tests and Open Obedience by the end of this year.

Congratulation. SFE is always hard for our overly friendly labs.

No. I had my fingers crossed we'd get done this weekend, and we aren't ready for Open yet. Plus It's a pretty long drive to Frederick for me, and staying overnight there isn't really an option. I'm going to try and plan it for next year if we are doing Open.
