The challenges of running multiple dogs at the same Obedience trial

For the most part, I've been separating which dogs I take to shows, with no more than 2 dogs per show, often just one. At an upcoming show though, I entered both young dogs in Novice (I want to see how they perform at an outdoor trial) and Chloe in Versatility. At 99% of shows there would be no conflict, but of course, at this one, Versatility is being held at the same time as Novice (first classes of the day). Chloe is the only dog in Versatility, and the yellow girls are 2/6 Novice entries, making things really tight.

I e-mailed the Versatility judge last night and made arrangements to run Chloe through 15 minutes early so that then all I'll need to worry about is talking the Novice judge into separating Cookie and Sass so they aren't back to back and I'll have a minute to switch dogs. Oh, and finding someone to handle one of them on Novice stays (I can't handle both at the same time and there aren't enough dogs to justify two sets). A friend I train with who is doing Utility there said she can do it, so we just have to hope there is no conflict between her Utility run and my Novice stays, LOL.

Can't do it. I am starting to think about putting Oakley in some obedience and Rally but won't do shows with her on those same days, and won't do Tickle same days either. Now I may consider bringing Jagger who'd be in the same classes as long as they are separated enough, but I hate thinking about too many things at one time. LOL Good Luck!
