    First competition!

We did our first dock diving competition yesterday. I have never done any sort of competition with a dog, so this was very interesting! He was incredibly over-the-top with excitement, which is something I am going to have to work on because he pulled me like crazy, but he did fantastic. His best jump was measured at 19 feet, 1 inch. I am learning a lot about dock diving, but am very proud of my boy! Here is a photo of him from the event.

What a great shot. I don't know anything about dock diving but is 19 feet a heck of a distance when you're just starting?

I think so! You earn points within the distance range that you jump. He’s already in the top of the third range up and there are only five ranges.

This shot was taken by a photographer at the event. I was up on the deck throwing the bumper.

Thanks! I think so too! Now if I can only improve on my throws, he should be able to get even better distance!
