    Thinking of signing Gauge up

There is a beginners RallyO class starting next week. I don't know yet if I really want to make the commitment to compete but thought it would be a good way to tire him out since the days are getting shorter and nor much day light.

He knows the stuff it's mommy that gets confused with the signs and apparently don't know left and right lol.

Think it would be fun for both of you. You don't have to commit to any competition to teach Gauge new things and wear him out at the same time. Go and have fun.

You don't have to compete if you don't want to. Sign up, it's fun learning to do new things together. It's a real mind game for you too, as you say, all those signs.

Do it! You might like it. The mental exercise is great for them.

It's a fun/good class even if you don't compete. I think too may people don't take classes because "they won't compete in that" but stuff like agility, rally-o, scent are fun classes to take and awesome for general training/bonding/working the brain as one off's

Agility is wrapped up for the season so I am looking for some Rally-O class for Penny. I think Rocky misses the time wtih me so I am also considering something easy like scenting for her (not that scenting is easy per day but it's something that I think will be easy and fun for a class for him).

Next spring will be another season of agility classes for Penny and we may look at competing in fun runs haha, depends how much training we do and how many classes get rained out

Once you get to the know the signs and what to do with yourself, you'll be able to focus on your dog. I was in the same place - going left when it said right, etc. We've all been there. It just takes time. Go! Have fun! Your dog will probably LOVE it!

I have done Rally-O with Rocky, he has his novice title with CARO and two legs to his novice in CKC. I have started doing some basic stuff with Penny so we won't be total newbies But being in a class and working with "signs and posts" presents it's own set of challenges. I am still going left instead of right haha
