I was really nervous before your first trial, but it went fine! We did NADAC and the trial forbid collars in the ring, so I had to buy a slip-leash from our trainer. No biggie, but it's something to check before the day.

Accept that your lab might complete a clean run, might do most of it but then go to the wrong obstacle, or might go on a freedom run around the ring to greet all the judges. All of it is a learning experience and the most important thing is to see it as a way to Have Fun with your pup!
