Chloe does when she's REALLY motivated ... in other words when I have string cheese on me. She won't do it for hot dogs or other treats, LOL.
Daisy started going to a train and play school two days a week in November. They teach them social skills, impulse control, and obedience. There is group training, individual training, individual walks, and even recess.
When I drop her off in the morning she has to stay in a sit while I pass her leash and breakfast (they use it for training) over to the trainer. She may not get up until I release her.
Well every time she tries to jump on the trainer- of course. So this morning I patted my side for her to sit in a heel and she literally jumped into heel position!! I've seen dogs do that in training classes but my dog has never been that enthusiastic about a heel. Then the trainer would step forward and Daisy would jump at the trainer. The I patted my side and Daisy hopped back into a heel. Well this happened like 6 times so daisy got a nice workout this morning. I had to share because it was really ridiculously cute.
Anyone else's dogs jump into a heel?!!

The times you don't have the video going, eh?
Oban once did a fantastic, flying, on-the-run leap into sit at the heel. Someone was coming and I didn't want him to go to them and perhaps frighten them so I hand signalled him to come and when he got close I motioned for a swing to heel and he leaped into it. I remember I looked up at the person, I was just bursting I was so pleased and I was beaming ear to ear. And of course it was a non-dog person and they just looked at us as if it was an everyday, ordinary thing. And he's never done it again.
OUr Rally people really like this and if I hop myself sometimes he will too. They tell me it's allowed for me to hop.
Good work Daisy! Mardi doesn't have much jump in her but she can sit so fast I'm afraid the floor will crack open. Archie is more deliberate in his sits; we need to work on a quicker response.
that is too cute!
New challenge - motivate pen enough to do that

Well done Daisy!! You are off to a terrific start!
One of the nicest things I hear is when we see people approaching or jogging and as they pass we get complimented on Polly being a well behaved dog sitting at heel! ((They don't know the hours we've done training, lol!!)
