Tried Chloe again in Utility again today

MUCH better result than the first time(s). Still no Q, but it was my fault - gave her too quick a signal on the drop, so she flinched but didn't go down. Even the judge said afterwards it was my fault, LOL. After she didn't drop, I gave her a much better signal, and she dropped and the rest of the class was really, really nice. So maybe if I can get it together, we might actually get a leg at our next show on Saturday (knock wood). A friend videoed it, so if she gives me a copy, I can post it here.

One thing I did that helped, I think, was I warmed her up with cheese, instead of her regular treats. I don't usually do that because cheese makes her a little crazy. I thought it might be worth trying in Utility because it would give her something else to think about other than "I've never been in this ring, who is that judge, why is mom stressed, etc.". Worked great, so I will be trying it again, next time. The only thing on her mind was what she needed to do to get the cheese, LOL. When I tried it in prior classes where she is more confident, she would start anticipating but she's not to that point yet with Utility.
