Do you have a trainer you could consult? We worked with our hunting friends and our breeder for all training with an e-collar. We obviously started slowly and worked up to the level we are at today. Bacon doesnt seem to mind either the vibe or the tone, however he is a dog who can stand next to a shotgun and wont flinch

I LOVE mine I've had the new Garmin and tritronics.....and my 2 Sportdog 400/425. I've had the 400 for going on 5yrs and it's still running strong and is my go to collar....love the beeper....which I add to my whistle training and use as a warning. Only reason I got the 425 was for the vib features ( personally not all into it like the tone better) I use these every day with my male....dove hunting 105 degrees and duck hunting divers at -5 it's held up great....not to mention the price is great....only regret is not buying the next level up on be distance! Always buy more than you'll need....my boy can get out past the 400-500 yards my collars can do, on crippled ducks and geese. As for set up there extremely easy and simple...very well laid out...
