Video of Bruce at Rally Class tonight

Had a fun Rally Class tonight. We missed last week due to my unexpected trip to Florida, and since my return Monday night I haven't been able to do any real training with Bruce. Our first run through the course was rough. Second time we did it off leash, with the dog tied to us with a short ribbon, to see who could make it through without break it. Bruce and I did the course without breaking the ribbon, and we had the fastest time. We did an exercise of doing the weave hold a spoon with a ping pong ball in our leash hand, seeing who could complete it quickest without dropping the ping pong ball. Bruce and had had the quickest time, no dropped ping pong ball. We all re-ran the course one last time. I chose to do it off leash. This is that run.

He is super cute! Take him to a few matches for proofing and get that dog a Rally Novice title (assuming you haven't him one yet, that is)!

We have our first trial the first Friday in June. It's at our training location, so I'm hope the added distraction of 70+ dogs isn't too much. Hoping to get his RN before summer is over and maybe the next one (can't remember if its advanced or excellent) by the end of the year.

    Nice Job!!!

If you show in South Jersey at all next fall/winter, let me know as I might (hopefully) be there for Obedience. I usually do the Wilmington Kennel Club one too, but missed it this year.

    I think you'll do great! I

would definitely go to matches, if you have them, so you can see how he'll do and what he needs to be successful. Not to mention what you need! It's a great opportunity to have a dry-run without any pressure.

After Novice it's Advanced (RA) then Excellent (RE).

He did great, and I noticed at least one Advanced sign in there. You guys are definitely ready to try it. We weren't able to go to any matches ahead of time but Grizz finished his RN in 3 trials and pulled off an RA leg too. Good luck!!!
