You are concerned about things (imo) you don't need to be concerned about. There used to be a joke w/ some hrt judges that CDX/ UD dogs were the worst for heeling to the line and line manners. Guess what??? Mine are great in the obed ring about looking at me, but they KNOW the difference when at a hunt test. Oh screw YOU they say! "I know I need to look out there.. Yes, you are 'there' but the better chit is out THERE!". Just persevere w/ her. You can do obed, etc in addition w/o conflict. Heck, I had one I was doing Open obed, tracking, Open agility, and Sr Hunter with. She knew exactly what venue she was at. TG she was a good girl and never broke on me at SH but she sure wanted to.

That reminds me of when a friend took her dog (years and years ago) to a field training experience day. The person running it said to her “that dog needs to learn some obedience!”. It was an 11 year old UD dog, LOL.
