it's taking place in the same location where they hold the highland games! (Unless that's changed since...)

I don't look forward to the super early mornings though, ick. really like being back in my flyball days haha. Dog sports - not for those who enjoy sleeping in

    OMG 7am!?
When I was in flyball practices were Sunday at 7am. every sunday. Ick.

I have t be there for 8am to sign and and get warm-up for 9am jumps. But it's an hour away AND i need to plan time to get unloaded and get Rocky crated (I guess if Rocky wasn't coming I could just unload after. It's annoying as the next competition isn't til 1pm. I was really considering just not doing the first wave but then I'd be driving in for just 2 waves which was … also lame. So I plan to be up as per a normal work day (5:45am). I took MOnday off though and have my vacation coming up in two weeks so it should all balance out

Sounds fun. Sam loves dock jumping but he doesn't jump that far. He just did his first Splash Dog event (usually it's Dock Dogs) and came in first in the super retrieve. He loves it.

I know, right? and lately, we've been finished for the day by about 3pm at the latest..... sheesh. The 7am was just because Rally started at 9, and there's that 2hr rule for any changes for performance events and 1hr for Conformation, show secretary was same for Conformation as well as performance stuff, so there by 7am, conformation started 8am, and thank heavens, performance stuff not till 9, instead of the usual 8:30. but of course, now you're up, soooooo, may as well make the most of it i guess. There was a woman that actually walked up to the show secretary's table right ahead of me, she was trying to do day-of entries, so had just driven from somewhere...

its almost as bad as horse stuff. that usually starts while its still dark out. now i hear faintly people and dogs stirring almost as soon as its light out.

people say to me, oh, a nice holiday weekend away with your trailer, relax, have fun....then when i tell them the schedule for the weekend, they look at me all funny and say that doesn't sound like a vacation....i usually reply a change is as good as a rest...

LOL! and that's one dog in one sport, this weekend was crazy with people having multiple dogs in multiple events. we were there 7:30am until 6:30pm on Saturday and left early on Sunday due to weather but were there 8am-4pm.

sure makes for a long weekend! haven't seen it yet, but last year several of the conformation dogs were competing in rally and/or obed, man, they had some shuffling and organizing to do!
