I finished up a 7 week recall class with the Penny Monster last week (with mixed results). We are two weeks into an agility class. It's an outdoor class at an agility field (s) so they work on lots of "ground work" (vs the classes I took wtih Rocky at obedience schools).
Agility is fun. I took many classes with Rocky but he is very mellow and slow, I needed to work very hard to motivate him. But Penny - well she's a sideline barker when it's not her turn so no lack of motiviation haha. I have to work on self control and patience
I was looking at dock diving classes but out of the four classe I would miss 2 due to a planned vacation. boo. Then again, there are no competitions here so other than for having fun - there isn't really a reason to take them. We can save our money and do something else Having said that, this past Saturday I brought her to a safe place to swim (for the first time since I adopted her) and she is QUITE the water dog! But more than that, she was leaping off the end of the water to fetch her toys in the water (pics to come). She's a natural! I hasn't even trying, she found someone ELSE throwing the ball for their dog (luckily a friend of mine).

Look at that leap!! I'd say yeah that's a water dog! Awesome!
Great photos! I thought it was Rocky at first until I looked close. Looks like Penny is having a blast.
The wonderful thing about dock dogs, is you don't really need classes or training. Just use any opportunities for practice and fun, and maybe someday there will be a competition near you!
very nice
Thanks for sharing! Looks like your pup will have a ball dock diving. Definitely fun to work with your pup and see them enjoy themselves. Wishing you all the luck in your dock diving class. Hope you post updates.
