First off, the shows are pretty small, usually a hundred or so dogs of all breeds. Typically there are 2 shows a day, so sometimes you have 5 shows in a weekend if they include 1 show on Friday. The big specialty labs tend not to do well in UKC due to the judges keeping an eye on whether they think a dog can perform its job in the field or not. It is easier than AKC to win a championship, but you must have some competition such as other labs or you have to kick butt in the group ring and win over another dog. Its great practice and it's not for professional handlers. Only owners.
