    And some heeling

Figured I'd post a couple videos of my guy actually working a bit vs spinning and hopping around like a dork. Just working short bits of attention and rhythm here. We are coming off a long summer of doing 99% field work. He's really young, we've got plenty of time to smooth this out a bit...he's just a LOT of dog to work with. Kinda like driving a freight train!

He looks so cute prancing around like a pony! Love the focus and excitement He does seem like a lot of dog, but you're putting all that dog to good use!

He looks good - but does he always vocalize like that when he works? There are some judges out there who will hit you with points for it.

I just love how prance-y he looks! Just bouncing around there with so much focus! And he looks like he loves what you're doing.

I don't think I've seen mention recently of how Indy is doing. I know he went through a lot medically and I'm hoping he's doing well!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Oy...the squeaking and whining in the background is Indy, very mad that he is not the working dog. Bertie does huff/puff with each stride...but if he calms down a bit it is less. He overall is actually very quiet.

Thanks for asking! Indy isn't doing super well... He had multiple cancer surgeries, an FHO, TPLO and was diagnosed with Lumbosacral disease last week. He's already got some neuro problems/pain and really struggles with his hind end. Just turned 6, I'm heartbroken that he can't work anymore. He is mentally so sharp and really a dog that needs a job...So he gets to go to training and take his turn "working". At least I still have him here, he is so special to me.

With a prance like that, you should try freestyle dance.

So to hear about Indy. Sounds like his love of life is still in full force.
