Out of curiosity, because I don’t show in UKC - aren’t you supposed to specify if it is a UKC title, or do people who do that only do it because they also show in AKC? Just wondering about the proper nomenclature. I know lots of people who do UKC Obedience in addition to AKC, and they always put UCD (for example) for the UKC title. Jolie did have her UKC CH, but that was before she came to us ... I only have time for one registry and barely enough even for that!

GRCH is the official UKC abbreviation for Grand Championship. GCH is the official AKC shorthand for that title. So just looking at the abbreviation, it's a UKC title. If the title were AKC it would be silly to get a CC also IMO.

Ahh ... that clears it up - thanks!

And I agree with you ... kind of like bragging about your titled Obedience dog having a CGC.

:-) Competing in AKC is enough for me! I can't be bothered to keep track of rules and regs in other venues too!

CGC is a title though, I always list it, even when it wasn't a title. Maddy had her CD, RAE, WC and CGC. I earned it, I list it.

As far as UKC, I personally put "U" in front of all UKC titles, but I suppose you don't have to. I actively compete in both venues, so I want to separate the titles. Maddy had a UCD too. Jed's a UGRCH. That's how I list it.

Doesn't really matter one way or another.
