I like that females are (usually) smaller and the lack of male parts (penny is my first female dogs, took awhile for me to pet her belly all the way haha, was used to stopping higher!) But I want a yeller. Would have to be a heck of a dog to change my mind on color.
This is me. My preference is another girl but my requirement is a black. And so help me, the shedding better be less since you all have my expectations up!

I personally wouldn't if Linus still has a lot of training to do in whichever event you are training for. There is always another great litter out there somewhere .... lol, but I did get from a must have litter and don't regret, but my other dog did have a very solid foundation already. As for gender, on a go forward basis I am going to try have one of each, they are both great in different ways.

The shedding is the same with the black dogs, it's just not as noticable!

They can be a handful, but the fact they're so cute does help

I can say for certain, this is not a true statement!

He's trained through open and has at least a basic understanding of everything through utility. Foundations are solid. We're polishing, generalizing, proofing, etc. Waiting for maturity and confidence to come around. The only thing we still need a prop for are go-outs. Puppy won't come for another year. Linus won't trial until he is between four and six (so 15 months at the earliest, but I am not holding my breath).

I will give my 2 cents. I love having two dogs as I hunt a lot and always want one in its prime so to speak. I find I have a harder time with 3. It seems to sort of go into a pack mentality. Harder to train, harder to do everything with.
