Wow! Great news—and she's gorgeous! Superb weekend!
Nancy gave Jagger 2nd, which is funny because at our specialty back in Oct. Nancy judged, and the dog that won 1st under her got 1st again this weekend. She gave Jagger 2nd then and again this time. HA! Second day was Mrs Danelle M Brown. She put Jagger 4th! Nancy was amused because after the down and back she wanted Tickle to look at her, and Miss Thing just readjusted to free bait to Nancy, which she just LOVED!

Way to go!!
Do the judges tell you why they pick one dog over another?
In AKC shows they do not generally do a written critique, unlike overseas where such write-ups are more common. At Potomac (world's biggest Labrador specialty) however, the judges do submit written comments about their choices.
Some from the last 2 years below:

Great work, congratulations to you both! P.S. cute outfit!
You're welcome. Keeping in mind that photos only tell a small part of the story for any dog, I do think the critiques and viewing of photos is fun. Or better yet, go see these dogs in person! :-) I've attended Potomac the last 4 years, and love being able to see all the dogs in the flesh. I have albums with hundreds of photos of dogs I've seen there. I particularly like looking back at pictures I've taken of the dogs as youngsters and then as adults. Some dogs I find I love as pups and don't care for as adults. Conversely, there are dogs that I wouldn't have looked at twice to breed to or get a puppy out of, who have aged into stunners IMO.
Of the links I posted above, only one of the judges is American, which is one of the neat aspects of Potomac. It is interesting to see our dogs through the eyes of people in the breed outside the US. Of course, Potomac draws entries from all over the world, but as an American exhibitor seeing mostly American-bred dogs, I like reading what judges from other areas of the world think.
