I got this email this morning as a response to a listing on Petfinder that I posted. The dog is in NJ.

"Hello, I have a "friend" that is desperately looking for a home for his 1 yr old Black lab, Her name is Magic. She was trained to "retrieve" and from what I know, she does. If he does not find a home for her soon he is planning on taking her to a pound maybe by this weekend and for her "safety" I hope I am able to find a home for her before that because he should not own a dog & he does not care what happens to her after that.
I know he has papers for her and from what I understand he is not selling her, He is giving her away.
Please get back to me and we will go from there."
