Front run 2
Birdie was turned into the shelter with her companion "Wilson", by her owner who had to travel to much and could not care for her anymore. She is an 11 year old Senior but in great health even though unhappy and confused at the shelter. She is as sweet and as desperate as any dog you will ever run across. Here she is a Senior, black lab mix...that's just about the least adoptable dog out there according to the statistics. People just pass them by for younger and/or lighter colored dogs. PROVE THE SYSTEM WRONG! Just imagine how impressed everyone will be to know that YOU let this sweet girl live out her golden years loved and safe.

We want you to be able to provide your new pet with everything that they will need right away! The most important thing to us is that these precious souls get into a great home as quickly as possible.

We welcome out-of-county and out-of-state adoptions, however we can not assist in transport.

Please remember that the staff is not able to guarantee a hold on an animal.

Most animals come from unknown sources, therefore we can not guarantee the health or temperament of any animal.

PLEASE, No phone calls from 7:00 pm to 9:00 am!!!! When calling, expect a general answering machine (it does not say Jay County Animal Control). Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Please leave a brief message describing the pet you are interested in adopting.
