Hi again.
I'm sorry for makingso many posts, but I'm confused on the titles. Could someone explain how they work to me please. I know that if you complete the course in under a time limit, you get one...i THINK. But i still dont understand it all.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Its confusing to me and I've been training since February (05). The associations have different rules/titles. So just concentrate on learning agility now and worrying about titles later. You or your dog may or may not ever do competition. Never know. Right now I'm in it for the fun of it - not serious about competing at this point. I probably will at some time in the future.
You could just get your dog registered with the agility associations for the time being.

Try this link...http://www.akc.org/pdfs/events/agility/Agility_Brochure.pdf It's from the akc website and has a lot of great information for getting started. It takes three qualifying scores to earn a title. Tanner just recently earned his NA title. (Novice standard agility.) We are now competing in Open Standard. In Jumpers with weaves, we only have one qualifying score towards a title, so we're still in novice.
If you have any questions, let me know. Agility is a fun sport of both of you!
