I saw this on petfinder..I'm slightly disturbed at the reason for putting these dogs down. OF CORSE 2 of the 3 dogs listed are black labs.
Notes: ALL DOGS WILL BE EUTHANIZED ON OR ABOUT 6-7-05 DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM HAVING SURGERY AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAINTAN THE POUND FACILATIES WHILE RECOVERING & GOING THROUGH THERAPY!! HOPE ANYBODY THAT CAN & WILL HELP DOES SO!

That is just sad! Im sorry but they no one else who can watch 3 dogs - it's not like they are overflowing?

How awful is this??? You would think they could get some people to volunteer their time to help out while this person is recovering? I certainly would volunteer if I were in the area....God..I hope someone steps up.

Oh my, I saw another that said the shelter is closing down, all dogs will be PTS on June 30th. I cannot believe some people.

I am patient and very loving, everything people think of when they think Black Lab. I get along with other dogs. Cannot tell about cats because there is really no way to test here at the pound.

Are there any members near by?? I e-mailed the contact info for status. MO is pretty far from me but there's gotta be a rescue nearby. I'm going to look through the directory now.
