Hope I don't cause any problems, but this is all4maddie's hubby. We decided to keep herbie if that is alright with LindaAcup just emailed her and hope to hear from her very soon to get this paperwork and bills taken care of. I met LindaAcup on Friday and she is a very dedicated person on saving these special dogs. She is a very pleasent person and Is a very good hearted soul. So keep up the good work :)

OH LInda, I haven't read through my emails yet, but that is WONDERFUL!!! Bless your heart. Good for Herbie & YOU. And Linda is so sweet, my heart broke for her, as she was giving Clay (her other rescue) to me for him to go to his permanent home, she cried. It is hard, I know.........very hard, that showed me she loves all of these babies just like I do. And right now, HERBIE is yours. I'll send you an adoption contract for you to sign. VOILA....Herbie is still home and home for good!!! You wonderful person you!!

:bounce: I'm a foster failure :bounce: Thank you Linda!!!! There is no way I could let this beautiful face go. I was willing to try, but I would have really looked like an idiot taking him to someone and not letting go of the leash.
It was a complete pleasure to finally meet you in person. I hope we're saving Labbies together for a long time.
I am so happy for Clay. I got an email from Lori, too, and it sounds like they are very happy. I am sure that when he got to sleep in their bed the very 1st night he was there, that he forgave me and thanked me. He's been blessed with a great family... what a reward!!

Now to celebrate Herbie's forever home, I think I'll take him and the old girl swimming.
Linda

That's wonderful. I'm so happy for you and your family. Welcome to the Foster Failure Club of the United States. This club seems to grow on a weekly basis.

So glad to hear that herbie has his forever home - amazing how often the foster failure happens, huh? Congratulations on your new family member!

Congradulations Linda and you to Herbie.

This is one of my biggest fears in being a foster; a foster failure. I am sure that Aowyn would be part of the reason that I would fail. I have to admit that for the next couple months I will be nnly fostering for the right reasons; ie one that is very urgent. This is because of all of the things going on in my house;first baby, remodeling, and etc.

I made it through 4 before I failed. I knew I would find one that I couldn't let go of and Herbie is the one. The others were all very special to me, but I knew they were going on to better places. And Herbie could have gone on to a better home maybe, too, but in his case, it's not the place, it's the person. He would be crushed.
I will continue to foster and I will continue to love them, and cry when they leave and smile when I get updates. I LOVE fostering these Labs. I LOVE having them come here and changing everything for them. I LOVE when I find out they've been adopted into a family. Yep, Herbie will change none of that for me. He was just my "keeper".

Linda, I wish I could bottle your fostering skills & belief and give them to other people. So many just don't understand that you may want to keep them all, but deep down, you let them go so you can help more.......You are a wonderful person!!! Herbie is very lucky!

Congratulations on your foster failure. Herbie is a sweetheart - there is just something about his eyes. We are foster failures too with the adoption of Tootsie our 3rd foster. There would have been more but SO and the director wouldn't let me - we already have 3 and she was afraid if we adopted too many we wouldn't be able to continue to foster. (I am still looking for my perfect 4th foster failure).
