This big boy was very sad hanging his head and not looking up...until I walked in, then he came to me and sat waiting to get leashed and go. He kept looking back at me as if to say OK I'm ready... poor guy doesn't understand...this may be the end of the line for him. He is a loving big boy and he must have eaten well or exercise NOT. He was very concerned for me after I left his kennel so he must have known a family and he must have been very devoted to them. He watched me the rest of the time I was there. Hurry before he loses all hope and gives up. To make sure that this great dog is safe, come to the shelter before 5 PM on Monday, June 19. The shelter will try and hold over if there is space, but it is a very small facility with only 12 dog adoption kennels. The shelter is extremely crowded at this time of the year. They try to keep puppies longer, but they often get sick if they stay too long. IF YOU CAN FOSTER THIS DOG FOR A MINIMUM OF 60 DAYS FOR A RESCUE GROUP, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT rescuerealtor@cox.net. What about beebles? I think they were looking for a dog like this. scratch that...they wouldn't do a long distance adoption.

Here is what they wrote to me when I asked them what they were looking for:

"A wonderful friend for my 10 year old female yellow. Preferably yellow english style, female and one that is not hyper. Definitely has to be a people person and very lovable cause we spoil our dog like crazy! Plus, i have to be able to meet the dog without driving forever and being obligated to keep the dog cause they are a cross country drop!"

The website says they will work with rescue's who are out of state....I hope someone see's him and rescue's him.

He's beautiful. I tried to reply about him in your OT thread, but there were server issues I guess. When I first saw his pic at a quick glance, for a split second I thought he was a puppy (I was seeing his face only at that point). There is something about his expression and still very black nose that made me think that. Roicy isn't a happy place for this guy. :(

I'm glad your first week at your paying job went well and that Red did well with his eye surgery.

He is GORGEOUS. That face just calls out that he does not want to be there and doesn't understand why he is there. :( Sounds like there is some interest in him.....hopefully it can work out! :)
