I'm feeding Orijen adult to my four dogs. I order it online from k9cuisine.com, (I live in the boonies, no one sells it around here) and pay $72.99 for a 29.7 pound bag, free shipping. If you're feeding Orijen, where do you buy it, and, if you don't mind sharing, how much are you paying? I'm wondering if there's a website that I could get it cheaper from. Thanks!

Do a search for it, there have been some recent threads on it.

Here's a recent thread about where to buy it online. http://www.lab-retriever.net/board/showthread.php?t=7319815&highlight=orijen

I hope it's good stuff at that price. ;)

it's a high quality, grainless kibble that i supplement with a bit of the 100% meat canned food. i feed all 5 of my dogs orijen. the 4 bulldogs get the fish formula and shemp gets large breed puppy.

there are no stores local to me either but i found that i asked my local store to carry and although they don't stock it they always keep one bag on hand in the back for me. when i pick that one up they order another one. we pay $68 and change for a 29 lb bag. we live in nh and it's a tax free state so there is no added tax on it.

i fed raw for 15 years but with the downturn in the economy...sometimes you have to cutback and unfortunately one of the ways was to stop feeding raw.

K&B are 14 months old and have both thrived on Orijen. I get the 29.7 pound bag for right around $67-ish dollars (depending on which store I go to). It is a great food, worth every penny!

Wow I get the adult big bag for $58...the fish is way more expensive though. I love the food.

We feed the fish formula and are thrilled with it. I pay $67.50 (CDN) for the 13.5kg bag, and it lasts me about a month for 3 large dogs. I have some very allergic dogs, and one in whom we suspect some absorption problems from intestinal scarring, and they're all thriving better than we'd thought possible. Supply is no issue for me because I live half an hour away from the plant. All the "better" stores carry it.

Oh wow, I'll be buying from there next time! Or maybe I could get a store around here to carry it for me and match that price. Anyway, thanks so much for the link!!:thankyou2:

Call and place your order with Tracy. Tell her you know me from the board. This is a very small business so you get wonderful customer service.

Or if you can get someone to match the price better yet. Keep in mind if ordering from heartypet you save on shipping if you order 2 bags at the same time. They have promotional 50% off shipping or free shipping a few times a year and other coupons as well. And I think you can always get 5% off on every order on line.

I feed Orijen fresh fish to Onyx and so far this is the only brand he has eaten for more than 2 weeks straight without having to coax him to the bowl or add to his food. He is a very picky eater and has issues with grains and chicken so he is limited to what works well with him...but so far like I said he loves it! For the first time I am looking forward to going food shopping because it will be such an easy trip!

The only thing that concerns me with this food is he can't seem to be able to eat more than 2.75 cups daily without it affecting his stools. I'm not sure if that is enough for him though so I am going to very slowly and gradually over several weeks work on increasing him...then problem solved. :)
