I have been feeding Horizon since I first got Chevy and have been very happy with it. Since it is fairly new, it is only sold in Canada at this time and I was just curious if anyone else feeds it to thier dogs and how they like it? It is processed in my province and so I'm very happy to support thier business. As far as I know, it is the only dogfood that has Saskatoon berries as an ingredient!!! :D

I looked into it but they do not sell it in Florida. I also called them and they are in the works to start selling it in the states. This was over the summer i spoke with them. Looks like a great food. Comparable to Orijen!!

I like the fact that they built their own state of the art plant...
So many of the American Pet food companies don't invest in manufacturing and allow the fate of their company to be determined by others.

I looked into the Horizon brand about 6 months ago and thought the ingredients and the company looked good. I e-mailed them and was told it would be available in Oregon later in the summer - they even told me who the supplier would be. But, so far, it hasn't appeared here. I was hoping to try it as another kibble rotation option for my dogs. Meanwhile, my dogs have been on Acana Prairie Harvest (grain-free) for several weeks with good results. It's manufactured by the same company as Orijen.

Nope... it's not available here. BUT, I am very interested in Horizon Legacy.

They also make a great frozen food called Horizon Pure.

That is wonderful that they are moving into the USA! I have actually met the man who started the business and he really stands behind his product...going so far as to eat it on the evening news to prove that its good quality!! The facility is really nice and I enjoy the fact that they support the local economy. All that, combined with the fact that Chevy loves it, is why I love it so much. I hope once it gets into the states everyone else will like it as much as Chevy and I do! :D
