Are there any 'get togethers' going on in the Midwest (preferably near Ohio) anytime soon? I would love to meet some of the people on this board. :)

I too am in Ohio and would love to get together. I get so jealous when I read about all the other get togethers.

I was in Dublin over the week-end for a soccer tournament. Pretty nice area where we were at. How close are you to Dublin?

We were at a soccer complex called Darree Fields. The Tournament was the Dublin Charity Cup. All proceeds from the tournament went to local charities for kids. It was a pretty cool tournament. My daughter's soccer team came in 2nd for the upper division of the girls U14 division.

We were at a shopping mall to eat on Saturday and Sunday on Avery Road by SR-161/US33. We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Sawmill Road off of I-270. There were LOTS of good places to eat there. Didn't have much of a chance to shop though. Looked like there were tons of places to shop though. It was a fun week-end, although VERY HOT and HUMID!

So how close to that area are you?

As far as a Midwest get together, I say lets go for it and see how many people seem interested.

We have only recently moved to Dublin - so I'm not really great with the area yet :) But that is cool that they do activities like the soccer tourney! Congrats to your daughters team!

We live close to the Tuttle Shopping Mall (pretty close to 33 and 270). My parents live about 60 miles NE of here at Indian Lake so we spend most weekend there :)

I agree we should try to get something set up as far as a get together goes and see who we can get interested. We are up to driving............so wherever a cental location would be is fine with us :)

When I was a little girl, I frequented Indian Lake ALOT. My grandparents had a small boat and we would go there. Apparently, I almost drowned there when I was a little girl. I fell in between the dock and boat and someone close by grabbed my arm when I fell. I used to hear that story all the time when my Grandma was still living.

Do your parents live right on the lake? We should hurry up and plan something before the weather gets too cool and swimming would not be good - for our lab babies of course! Although, you never know what kind of weather we may have. It could be hot in October or we could have snow! So unpredictible.

I know the last week-end in September is not good. My oldest daughter is graduating from Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL on the 24th. We're not sure how long we will be there - Thursday and Friday for sure.

What are your thoughts? We may get some people interested that are from Kentucky and Indiana also - depending where the location would be. Do you have any locations in mind? I can't think of a place off hand, but I will try and think of a GREAT place.

My parents actually live in the country about 5 min. from Indian Lake :) Can't imagine living right on that nasty body of water. HEHEHEHEHE Can you tell I've gotten a little tired of the place??

But anyways - I agree that we should think of a place and date soon! I'm yet to find a nice body of water that is "dog" friendly so I'm not sure what to suggest :(

I'm trying to plan something in Wisconsin in late July early August of 2005. That's still quite a drive though from Ohio.

Spirit and Truth where do you live? Chewie lives VERY close to the Tuttle Shopping Mall in Columbus and would LOVE to have a play date!!
