Yes, I have yet ANOTHER lab foster.

Arlo has been one of my favorite labs for almost a year now!

He is an AKC registered 3 year old black lab (sorry no papers came in with him) he was dumped at the local kill shelter.

I happened to be working the day he was brought there.

A 17 year old boy brought him in & CRIED as he left Arlo. I kept trying to tell him being an adult black lab, he has Very little chance of surviving this high kill shelter.... He simply said "i cannot keep him" and left him...but he cried!

I found out out later that his girlfriend had gotten pregnant..and his parents PUNISHMENT was to make him dump Arlo at the pound to die! :(
**good lesson, get her pregnant, abandon your dog**?

Poor Arlo was so depressed, he refused to eat, he just lay there, watching the door..waiting for "his boy" to come back.. He lost a LOT of weight & looked horrid..i thought he would die!! :( So I began turning him loose & let him hang out in the shelter office with me & he followed me EVERYWHERE..he became my shadow....I BEGGED my mom to let me keep Arlo as I had become EXTREMELY attached to him, and she refused.

Soo. i begged friends & family..and FINALLY someone stepped up. I THOUGHT he had the perfect home..and I just found out he had been abused there..soo, I have him back here today....

What I will do with him... I have NO clue!

Arlo needs a home. he needs his FOREVER family. He is a big & beautiful boy!

Fully house-trained, crate-trained. Doesn't get into the trash, not a food thief, knows obedience, loves to play fetch, does well with children....other dogs he is "Ok" with...other males he often argues with..so far though, he has done well with Phoenix & champion & my danes..they are playing & having a blast!.

he is neutered & up to date on shots..I did a full health check at the beginning of this year, and everything was fine (heartworm negative) i just NEED to find this wonderful guy the perfect home..where I will be updated. I am so upset that he was abused (physically) and tied out & ignored..... i thought I had him placed into a great home..

I am reunited with my favorite rescue...but I KNOW it isn't fair to him to be a foster dog with so many others....Arlo needs his own family..

IF ANYONE here can help..whether it be rescue or adopter..please let me know.

I Love this dog dearly, and i just want him to be taken care of for the rest of his life....

Uh oh---I sure wish I could take him. But I have two male dogs and Bailey. There might be some fireworks there if he doesn't like other males. I love him!

You know, he fought with a cocker spaniel..and it was CONSTANTLY starting fights with ALL other dogs.... he has done WONDERFUL with champion & Phoenix..as well as the danes. I have not yet had ANY fighting..although Phoenix needs a butt-kicking!!

he is SO playful...I am in heaven having him back with me..i just wish I had space for one more, I am serious..if i lived on my own...he would be mine! I love this dog SO much!

He is definately a woman's dog..he is such a very wonderful boy! I plan to get better pics of him tomorrow..i may even take him to the local dog park one day this week..him and a couple of my danes...need to see if I can round up a few friends for a dog park outing!!
