My pup at 13 weeks just came in from playing. My daughter said , "Oh , mom, Kayley has a dead bird in her mouth. OH MOM, KAYLEY HAS A LIVE BIRD IN HER MOUTH!!" She laid it gently on the carpet for me. The bird was a goldfinch, completely unharmed, flew up to the kitchen wall. We gently caught it in a towel and it feeds regularly at my feeder. I don't know how she got it. I don't know how she knew to hold it so gently.

OK, you all with training experience, does this mean my dog will be a great waterfowl retriever??

I would certainly take that as a good sign!
