Notes: Say hello to Widgen! A gorgeous, purebred/papered, 6 year old, yellow female Lab. Her family is going through a change and some hard times and has to find her a new home. She is such a sweet heart, we all want the best for her!

Widgen is a great Lab! Because of her sweet nature, she will do great in practically any home. She is very good with other dogs, never shown a sign of aggression. Widgen is very affectionate. and loves kids, but may be too large for very small ones. She knows her basic obedience, is great on leash and off, and knows sit, stay, heal, and come. She has been mostly an outdoor dog, but would love to be included into a home.

Widgen is definitely still active! 6 yrs. is not considered senior, and she loves to run and play like any other dog. You can see she has MANY more years left just by looking at her! She is a great retriever, and loves to go swimming. She is a great running/hiking partner, and loves the outdoors. Because of her active lifestyle, she is very healthy!

Any update on beautiful here?

I feel so bad I have been kind of out of the rescue loop for the last little while. Usually I try to keep an eye out for the ones that I post on here. I was kinda sick with morning sickness at the begining of this semester so now I am having to play makeup with a few of my online classes for school. It's going well - it's just consumed a lot of time this past few weeks. This is my brain after playing catch up for a few weeks- :huh: :scared: :cry2: :help: :bang: :bang: :bang:...and then at the end of the day....:sleep:

Barbi, any updates on Widgen? Has she had anyone interested in her? Did she go the adoption this past weekend at Petsmart? If she hasn't been adopted, I hope she finds her forever home soon.

Sorry I'm not much help right now with the rescue stuff. It's all I can do to come out of this semester with decent grades.

In two weeks, I can do a lot more. :D I miss being so involved in the rescue.

WHAT?? I can't imagine you getting a little behind on things..........it's not like you have any life like kids, hubby, school, pregnancy or anything!!! LOL LOL

I know. I can't understand why no one has adopted her yet. If I was in a different situation, I would adopt her in a heartbeat. She seems like she is just as sweet as can be. It's so hard to convince people that older dogs (meaning dogs that aren't puppies) make wonderful companions without having to go through all the puppy training. If you know of anyone who is looking for a wonderful yellow female, send them our way. Widgen will make an awesome new family member.

OMG... she is GORGEOUS. I can't even imagine her still being there...

What's one more? ;) I'm just kidding, Lisa! I know, I know....I'm SO bad. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be THRILLED if she was adopted by you and your girls. :D But, I just had to say that.

I think that Widgen was adopted. Yay!!! Her picture isn't up on the rescue website anymore so that's a pretty good indicator that she's no longer in need of a home. :D She's such a gorgeous girl. So, Lisa, you're safe....for now. Just kidding! ;) Just wanted to let everyone know.

LOL!!! Exactly!!! Whats one more??? I am keeping my fingers crossed that she has been adopted, so I dont have to think about her sweet face anymore! :)

I was just wondering the other day how the 4th member of the variety pack is doing. She is SO cute. I love your new sig pic. It's adorable. I just love your girls. I love everyone's Labs. I get to live vicariously through all of you until I have the right situation to get my own.

I'm pretty sure that Widgen has been adopted so it's all good. :D

LOL.. Aaahhhh!!! I could NOT keep saying no to all those faces.. that Wigden is BEAUTIFUL.. if you have more like her, I'd for SURE cave in..

Rylie is doing great.. even though Jason and I arent together anymore- she is getting BIG and she is doing wonderfully. I will see if I can get some updated pics.. but with the situation between us.. its kinda sticky.. :D

That's completely understandable about your boyfriend. I wouldn't want you to be in an uncomfortable situation because I was curious about Rylie. ;) I'm just happy to know she is doing so well and getting big. :D
