And, he's now down to his final 2 hours! He will go into the gas chamber at 4:30 today. PLEASE don't let that happen to him.

He's the only guy up today that doesn't have rescue.....how is it possible that no one wants this guy?????? http://forums.petfinder.com/images/smiles/icon_cry.gif

here is what a volunteer told us about this guy:

"I wish I could have gotten a better pic of this boy...he is a very impressive-looking dog with his chocolate color and his green eyes. He is also very big, about 70 lbs. He showed up at someone's house and played great with the other dogs on the property and the small kids of the family were able to handle him with no problems. He allowed the guy's kids to catch him and put a leash on him and then lead him all over the yard. And he ate with the guy's 4 other dogs with no fuss. He is not a real
excitable dog, has a nice, calm temperament. But he did chase the cat and the horses there...so would do better in a home with no cats or livestock, please. He is really gorgeous...pics don't do him justice."

have you tried anyone I emailed to you? Would they board him in a private boarding or vet's until maybe a rescue group has an opening?

I e-mailed Michelle and Kim.

No answer yet.

I don't think shelter would release him if he has no rescue or adopter to go to.

As Much as I WANT to save him, we can't just BOARD him hoping someone will take him.

A wonderful girl in NJ that has a small rescue is going to try to save him at the eleventh hour!

We need to find a boarding place for him to go to until he can be transported from GA to NJ. We might need lots of people here to help with the transport too!

Pray hard that he gets out in time!!

It just BROKE my heart that he was the only one that didn't have a rescue.

a New Jersey rescue said they will save him. Hope they can get someone to pull him from the shelter and board him, until they can transport Choco to New Jersey. I just gave him a name-he deserves one!

:p: :o: :) :) I e-mailed and called the shelter FIRST thing this a.m. I called at 7:08 Central time.

The woman I spoke to said that she received an adoption application on this SWEET AND BEAUTIFUL boy this morning!!

Now, I'm not sure if someone in Georgia is adopting him, or if she was referring to the girl with a New Jersey Rescue that said on Petfinder that she would save him.

At any rate, OUR SECOND MIRACLE, in Two Days!!

Hershey and Choco both will have a WONDERFUL life filled with LOVE!!  :p: :o:

I called this morning before I went to work, to make sure the did not put him to sleep, and when the girl told me there was an Adoption Application on him, I thanked God and going to work wasn't so bad anymore!

Well done, Karen!!!! I thank you so much for all you do to rescue so many by telling us all about the dogs all over this country who need help. That takes a lot of time but thanks to the time you devote to this, so many pups have been saved by wonderful people in here for their friends or family.

Just had to thank you....again. It touches me..it really does.

Bless you!
