I have a beautiful chocolate fellow, he was a stray in a hurricane affected area and was going to be put down to make room for more dogs who might have owners. He was very thin when he arrived, but is putting on weight.

He is gorgeous! I need a home where people are willing to do some training with him, with no small children- but kids old enough to hold their own should be fine with him- hes very friendly and LOVES people. He's a big GOOFBALL with loads of personality, but has a high energy level. He is working on being housebroken, He is crate trained, he loves toys and loves playing with other dogs. We don't know how he would do with cats. He has been looking for a home for quite a while now. He is being fostered in New Hampshire, but we can transport him to anywhere in the Northeast.

okay, he fell down so fast I thought I would bump for the evening crowd. No one out there?

I guess I never really get interest on this board for dogs most of the time, everyone here already has a Lab.
hes such a sweetheart..

He's gorgeous, keep posting, you never know how many people in the world actually see him and it only takes 1 person to take interest. I think we (the board) have saved many many many dogs. :)

Nicole, he's beautiful. The second pic breaks my heart. There he is literally skin and bones; ribs clearly visible. And what is he doing? Being a lab; he's looking around, smiling, wagging his tail. I really hope someone out NE will see him and realize this guy is a real Keeper. He needs training, but he is at a great age to train and is probably pretty motivated by treats or toys.

This guy is going to haunt me.

Well, the good part is he is already "saved" he just needs a forever home. This is definitely a dog who will keep you laughing- he is just chuck full of personality.

Oh by the way- Linda I quite agree, as a board we have saved many lives, it's the adoption part that we don't have a lot of here. Seems we used to be able to post on general chat dogs for adoption but they moved it so fast this time I hardy blinked.

Petfinder normally works great but everyone who asks about him has cats, no dogs and little kids. LOL

I've directed a woman, who lives in Vermont, from one of the other forums to this board. Hopefully she will come here and see this.
