"Bigboy" is our foster from Blue Mountain Humane Association (http://www.bmhumane.org/).
He is 4 years old, with a little bit of gray on his chin, and a small white spot on his chest. He spent over a month in the shelter untill his number was up, and I got the phonecall that he needed saveing... so now he's waiting at my home/kennel untill we can find him just the right home (he's been here for a month and a half now). Him and one other lab mix were surrendered to the shelter because his lifetime owner had fast progressing alshimers, and had to move. Bigboy is AKC registered, with a non titled/no clearance pedigree. I've tried to find the "breeder" to see if they will be responsible for the dog they produced, but they have moved and I have not been able to find them (not that my hopes were high for that). He is field bred looking, but has no interest in bird scent or retrieving. When we took him in to be neutered the vet checked his hips and they feel nice and tight... his teeth look good, and coat is nice. He was a little under weight when we got him but we wormed him and put him on good food, now he's up to an optimal 80 pounds. He needs some more work with basic obedience, but wants to please... he's just never been exposed to it. His main drawback is that he can not be homed with cats. He is happy to lay at your feet all day, and his favorite thing is running around with other dogs and playing "tackle". Bigboy loves kids of all ages, and has always been around other dogs. His adoption fee from the shelter is $81. If any one knows of a home that might be right for him... Please contact me or BMHA. This is his petfinder webpage (http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=5358265).
