I just received this email, I believe the dogs are in Ohio, I'm trying to get more info. I'm in Delaware, but I will do whatever I can to help these guys. I wish I could take them, but we just don't have the room right now. Is there anyone in or around Delaware that can foster for us? We have so many urgents!

Darling Hunter and Fame are two gorgeous pure-bred labs, brothers, who find themselves needing a new home now that their owner has become too ill to care for them. They are truly wonderful dogs. The owner's grandchildren can crawl all over them and like a typical lab, they just lay there and love it. Both are neutered, and up to date on their shots. They are housebroken and are very well behaved. They are about 4 years old. We would love to keep these two boys together if possible, they are the best of friends. Can a family member take them? It would be horrible for them to go to a shelter....they would not have the best chance, being black and a Lab...:( :( there are so many of them in shelters.

This is awful. If we didn't have a bunch of new ones coming in, we'd take them.. just no where to house them until we could. I hope a family member or someone steps forward. :(

I am interested in Fame and Hunter. Their write up sounds exactly like the dogs I am looking for. The most important point is that the grandchildren can crawl all over the dogs and they just lay there. I have an 8 year old and a 4 year old.

I live in Gainesville, Florida. Do you know of any rescue group that has volunteers to transport the dogs? I am willing to keep the boys together.

Oh, I hope someone takes them. I confronted my DH on Christmas Eve about if we cant have another lab, cant we just foster? Well, that didnt go over too well. I will keep working on it. My heart breaks to see them all. Good Luck to Hunter and Fame..and milanocook. Lynn

I did get an email back from someone named Katherine that is helping the family of these guys. I think that is who you left a message with. She there is a rescue in NY that could take them they can't find them a home together. Keep me posted on if you get in touch with her and what happens.

Are the dogs in NY or in Ohio? I am willing to take both dogs. I just need to get a hold of someone who can just verify they are good with children. I also need assistance with transport to Florida.

Did you find anything out about these dogs? I'm hoping they are what you are looking for and someone can get them to you.

I received an email back from Katherine along with an adoption application. She was leaving for a funeral. She said once I completed the adoption application she would put me in touch with the person caring for the dogs. I haven't heard anything since. I am still hoping to hear something.

BlueMoon been assisting in the adoption of these two brothers. We also were listed as a backup if they could not find a home. We were told last Friday that they were adopted together to a loving home.

We updated our website to reflect the news.
