Folks,

While I am in SC, I do not have transportation to get to where this dog is. He was placed in what is most likely a kill shelter on 10/23/04. If someone can get this dog out of that shelter, we can then try for transport if we have any takers.

Hell, I may take him myself.

I just wanted to see if there were any Beaufort/Hilton Head/Savannah, GA folks who might be able to get him for the time being.

Evidently, a very sweet lab. Likes to wander and that's why he was put there. Of course, this is due to his idiot owner's non-involvement in the dog's life. But that's another topic for another thread (grrrrr) I believe he's right at about a year old.

I also THINK he is in the Beaufort County Animal Shelter. In fact, I am 99% sure of this... PM me and I can provide further details as I get them.

Do you have a pic? Also, please be sure and post this in Acme Pet Transport site, too. There is a section there that has "Animals Available." If we don't get a good response here, after a few days, go to the Gen. Chat and post this, just put I suggested it to you so more people would read and help. I'll see if I can help, too. Do you have a website where we can go and read about him, too, please?

I do not have any of that as of yet.

I do have some good news, though:

My sister-in-law's daddy is gonna pick him up. I think. I am going to persuade them to do this in any event.

That will buy enough time for me to get down there and get him. I'll assess the situation at that point. I may keep him, or I may place him up for adoption and then we can work on JUST the transport option.

If you have some other good ideas, let me know.

In the interim, I am going to see if I can find pix and more specifics on him.
