I have been feeding Madison Nutro Max LB and she has been doing really well on it. The last time I went to the store to buy more they had changed the packaging which I heard that they were going to do. So I decided to look at the ingredigents and they changed that too! I was not very happy, because in the new formula there was a lot of grains etc. I was able to buy a few of the smaller bags of the old stuff so I can figure out what to switch her to now. She hates lamb and refused to eat Iams LB puppy when she was little. I am thinking of feeding her Blue Buffalo LB Adult. Has anyone tried this brand yet or not. If anyone has any other suggestions I am open to them. Thanks

Food is pretty much a personal thing. I feel Barkley BB Chicken and Something... Rice?? Maybe?? He does wonderfully on it and has the most shiney coat of any black dog I've seen. I can't give you opinions on any other since that's pretty much all we've fed him since we got him.

I haven't tried it myself, but the company has a pretty good sales pitch!
Posting the ingredients here for others to check out. Chicken as the first two ingredients is always a good sign. It's got a lot of "extras" in there, but I would say if Madison doesn't have any pre-existing food sensitivities or intolerances it would be fine to try this food.

Hi:
I know of several people who rave about Blue
Buffalo as a dogfood. I think you will be glad you
switched to that brand.

Blue Buffalo sent me a sample pack. If you go to their website and ask for a sample pack at least you will be able to tell if your dog(s) will eat it. I went with Eagle Pack Holistic Large Breed because it was local. I gave a few kibbles as a treat to Moose and he loved it.

I switched my dogs to Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice (http://www.bluebuff.com/products/dogs/lp-adult-chick.shtml) about 6 months or so ago. I had used Wellness, Merrick, Timberwolf Organic, etc - all dry foods - during the last few years. It always seemed like one of my dogs either didn't like those brands or they didn't seem to do as well on them as I expected they would. Since switching to Blue Buffalo, EVERYONE loves it, they look great, they're full of energy, and they poop better (sorry - but it's true).
They also LOVE the Buffalo canned food varieties. The only Blue product they don't like are the biscuits. I've now even switched my cats to the Blue Buffalo Chicken and Rworn Rice formula for cats (http://www.bluebuff.com/products/cats/ss-adult-chick.shtml). They too are doing well on it.
The blue Buffalo brand is also one of the foods listed in the Whole Dog Journal's "annual" report on good dog foods. Hope that helps. Good luck.....Donna

we love Blue Buffalo!
Klaus was having terrible problems with ear infections and hair loss - we tried Innova Evo, Solid Gold Barking at the moon, California Naturals - all to no avail.
Then, for financial reasons we switched to Blue Buffalo Lamb and Brown Rice and all of his symptoms went away. We were amazed!
We are now back to a place where we can afford to buy the more expensive brands, but I will be keeping them on BB.
We also have our cats on BB as well and are extremely happy with it.

The Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed is chicken based and ours do well on it. It seems like the BB also has a lot of grains (mine can't do barley and flax or they itch)

Thanks ZenCat for posting the ingredients I was having computer issues when I tried to do it. I did send for a sample bag to see if she will like it. I hope it will get here before I have to buy more food. Madison doesn't seem to have any food allergies. The only thing she will refuse is Lamb! I don't know why she just doesn't like it. Thanks everyone for there responses. I really don't like changing foods on her when she is doing so well, but I don't like the new stuff Nutro Max is putting out.
