View Full Version : Bucks Co, PA/Trenton NJ area playgroup
Hi,
I'd be interested in a playgroup in our area. I live in New Hope, PA about an hour north of Phila and closeby to Trenton, NJ.
You can email me at:

Mom2Hershey 05-25-2004, 07:48 PM I am too far for a playgroup, but love New Hope. We drive through there on my way to see my dad in Phila. There are a few new ppl from PA here (Bryan Smith is one) he is in Palmyra.
Bryan Smith 06-05-2004, 09:24 AM Historically, what has taken place at an event like this. We are about 1.5 hours away from Philly (We are right beside Hersheypark).
JackLab 06-20-2004, 06:54 AM Jack and I are in Philadelphia, and would travel within a reasonable distance for some play time... :) let us know... our email is .. NRNGRL@aol.com
allykat 06-27-2004, 11:11 PM I just wanted to pipe in and say I was just in New Hope and Bucks County area for vacation!!
Very nice place and amazing trees up there!
We have the ugliest trees here in Texas... :p:
TrackingHunter 06-27-2004, 11:23 PM Levittown here...Hunter and I are usually up for playtime, too.
Let's plan something!
Black Olive 06-28-2004, 05:56 AM Just out of Philly, here. Olive would loooooove to have a play date.
TrackingHunter 06-28-2004, 06:59 AM So who's up for planning something?
I know for sure I'll be out of town the next two weekends, but after that, I'm all for it!
I'm so glad I found some folks in this neck of the woods. I just returned from vacation, so yeah, let's do it. Nikki loves other dogs so much and it's hit and miss when we go to the park - everyone has varying schedules and not all non-labs are as friendly as labs.
Okay, so where? Hmmm. Philly is about 50 minutes south for me and we could meet there, or, perhaps if anyone knows of a place somewhere off of 95, I don't know, around the Street Rd exit?
I go to Wash Crossing Park every weekend (Pa side near the soccer fields). It's a great spot for off-leash play since it's way back from the road and also the canal is right there for some swimming, albeit muddy, sometimes smelly swimming, but Nikki loves it more than the pool right now, so I let her at it. I realize that this area, only a couple of miles from my house, isn't convenient for the rest of you, with the exception, perhaps, of the Levittown folks, but we can keep it in mind if we can't come up with anything else.
Pipe in with suggestions.
Mom2Hershey 06-28-2004, 09:14 AM I can't recall any parks since I don't spend a lot of time at the parks, but I know how big Penny Pack Park is...does that offer any water?
There are some parks listed at:http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/travel/uscities/guides/us/cities/usonlinecityPAPhiladelphia.shtml
Then just scroll down. Oh I love Philly, wish we could be there!
Tuckersmom 07-18-2004, 08:25 PM Unfortunately, I could not make East Coast Lab fest this year and I would have LOVED to have gone!! I would be totally up for something in this area!! How many people are up for it??
TrackingHunter 07-18-2004, 10:19 PM Let's go, let's go....
:D
Black Olive 07-18-2004, 10:36 PM I only know of 2 dog parks...both are in NJ in Medford and Mt. Laurel. The one in Mt. Laurel is fenced, the one in Medford is not. I won't know until last minute if Olive and I can go to a play date because of my stupid work schedule. However, I always have Sunday's off.
Squid 07-19-2004, 07:34 AM Wow, didnt realize there were so many locals. I used to live in Holland, PA - Now in Chester county.
hbd511 07-30-2004, 02:10 PM We're in NJ too over along the coast but we'd be willing to travel for some lab fun!
