I am so excited that I am finally getting the camer I've been wanting for so long! I want a Canon Rebel Digital. Now here's my question. I want to take photographs that can potentially be enlarged and framed for wall decor (for my own home or my husband's office) - scenery type stuff and even kids/dogs.

So - will the Rebel XT (8 megapixel) be good enough to do this or should I spend more and get the 10 megapixel? I don't want these enlargements to look 'digital' or grainy.

My older Canon 10D is 6.3 megapixels and I have 11x14 prints made all the time. (even sell them at art festivals for real money :confused: )

8mp is more than enough for large size prints, suitable for matting & framing as art. I even had a photo printed at 20x30 (sailboat & lighthouse) that now hangs framed & matted in my sister in laws living room.
