Hi there everyone, I keep checking the rescue list to see if there is anything my way I can help with. Can someone please give me information as to how I can get involved and help out....where do yall find these dogs....I just bought a new house for my family and am currently fencing in the backyard so I could keep a foster dog. What are my options.

There are lots of ways to help, not just fostering. Lots of groups here have adopt-a-thons at places like PetsMart and they need extra people to talk to potential adopters and fill out paperwork. If you have any knowledge of web programs, most groups need help maintaining their websites. So no matter what your situation or skills, if you want to help they'll take it!

You can find local rescue groups by going to www.petfinder.com and doing a search for dogs by your zip code. That should at least give you names and contact info. for groups nearby. The rescue group I've been working with has a volunteer application, similar to their adoption app., but if the ones down there don't then at least you can email them and get started talking.
