Chloe is going to be going to have her 1st birthday in December. I was wondering if it is okay to switch from puppy food to regular adult food now? Right now I feed her the large breed puppy from Nutro Max. I plan on feeding her Nutro even after the switch. I have heard so many different opinions and truthfully I am not sure when to switch her. She hasnt quite grown into her body yet. She is about 35-40 pounds, very tall and slender.

Our breeder had us switch Maggie to adult food at 4 months old. I guess because they grow so fast... My girlfriend who has Rottie's did the same thing. Maggie adjusted to the food with no problems, she went from Nutro Ultras Lg Breed Puppy to Nutro Ultra Lg Breed Adult. It was seemless.

I switched Bosco to adult food when he was 10 months old. He'll be 1 years old this monday (oct 30th).

Yep, I'd definitely switch. When we fed kibble, we switched off puppy food by 6mo. Now, with the rescues, after they are 3 mos, they go on adult food.
Good luck! :)

A year old, switching to adult food should be fine. Thats when I like to switch them personally.
