Keno's Mom

Just curious if those in agility have ever had their dog measure heights and refuse to jump if its the wrong height?
In practice last nite we were running full courses. Keno loves jumping and has always jumped right thru the tire. However several times she refused to jump it. We couldn't figure out why. I thought it was cause I was on the other side of the tire but that shouldn't stop her from jumping it (came from the tunnel, jump, then tire, to tunnel).
The trainer too couldn't figure it out for awhile. He had never seen her refuse it. She did it like 3 or 4 times. Then he said "I wonder if its set at 24 inches instead of 20 inches?" Sure enough when he checked it, it was at 24 inches.
Keno was trying to tell us the tire was not right, but we didn't know. She knew it looked wrong. As soon as it was set at the right height, she took it without any hesitation.
Smart dog :)
