Here is another sad one that I remember seeing when I was looking at labs in December. http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=1947217&adTarget=&SessionID=42d6849e7605e9d5-app1&display=&preview=1&row=25&tmpl=&stat=

Doesn't anyone need one of these poor yellows?

I would love to help out, but with Amy's surgery coming up on the 19th, I better not for her sake. Also, it may too soon for DH (after Shadow). LOL! I just feel so bad for her being in the shelter for 7 months! :(

Linda I can help sponsor him if you like. I just can't foster him because of the baby. Otherwise I would.

Bless your heart Alex & Dana.......it's hard, isn't it? Let's keep bumping him and maybe somebody will consider fostering him for us. He's gorgeous. I just placed Clay today and he is between 7 & 8. I'm sure we could find this boy a good home, too.

I am just thinking if we get him out of Kentucky he will have a better chance. I posted him on another website to see if that helps.

Alex, If you call the shelter and see what it will take to "get him ready" for a foster (neutering, UTD shots, wormed, HWtested), we may have someone we can talk into fostering..........

I will make the call now.

Spoke with Sharon:
UTD on shots, he has been wormed, not nuetered, and has not been heartworm tested.
His adoption fee:$76.50, which includes the nuetering.

He is 2-3 years old, good with children, other dogs, never shows agression, and is very playful, but also laid back.

BUMP! :) Sounds like the PERFECT dog (IF he is healthy!) Would they really neuter him before checking to see if was HW positive?

I'm in no position to foster at this moment, for obvious reasons, but I just wanted to wish you gals luck! He's a pretty boy who deserves a good home.

I am in the same position. I will work hard to get him a home, and if he is still around in the next 2 months I may be in the position to foster.

I think it is wonderful that this shelter has hung on to this boy for so long. I bet they know he will make a wonderful pet and are just hoping he will be adopted. The newfie/lab mix my father adopted went way past her euth date because they knew how incredibly kind she was.
I don't think being in KY is necessarily a bad thing, Alex, I just don't think he is getting enough exposure where he is. I know you didn't mean that in a bad way! I am just so thankful they haven't already put him to sleep.
He must be a KEEPER!! :)

No it wasn't meant in a negative way. I just said it knowing that there are alot of dogs that go to shelters on a regular basis.
