OMG!!!!!!! Wednesday night I was preparing a veggie tray for a party we were going to and I gave Nellie a couple of baby carrots. She had never had them before, but I read on here that many of you guys use them for treats, so I thought I would try it. We left a couple of hours later and put her in her crate. She pottied before we went and everything. We came back 5 hours later and our house reeked!!!!!!!!!! Nellie had diarrhea three times in her kennel, ate it, then puked it back up. While we were cleaning that, we let her out in the house cause she acted fine. She threw up on my beige carpet. But she didn't just throw up, it was projectile a place about 1ft x 1ft of brown stinky stuff with little pieces of carrot. She proceeded to the white tile in the kitchen and projectile vomited two more times just as much. I can't think of anything else it could have been!!! At about 3am, we put her in her garage pen with plenty of fresh water. Next morning, she was fine. She dry heaved once and spit up foam, after that, we gave her a little bit of food and she's kept everything down since and her poop is nice and firm. Although, last night I knew she was not her usual self as she spent most of the evening and night on the couch with me instead of chasing Lucy all night! But she was much better this morning.

Sorry this is so long, but I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience with carrots?

Awwww pooor puppy!:(

I tried to see if Keno would eat carrots - no dice. She spits them out....lol

Maybe cooked carrots she will eat. She also doesn't like peas either.

Most anything else she will eat. We usually give her a small sample in her food after we eat. She loves scrambled eggs and bacon.

At least you know not to give her carrots again.

Ugh! -Amazing how they always head towards the white carpet area!:roll2: Tanner loves carrots, and we've never had any bad experiences, but I'm sure they are just like us. -What might bother one may not bother another. I'm glad she's feeling better today.
