Since we are fosterhome-less right now and I have Sawyer, I am sponsoring this girl that has been at our shelter since 8/22 because her owner was a puppymiller and the USDA seized over 70 dogs (mostly mixed designer breeds) in August. The court case was just decided and the lady avoided jail time :(

Anyways, this little black girl, Mindy is the LAST dog that has not been adopted (out of all of the dogs seized). :(

She's very sweet, small. I'd say maybe 50 lbs. Compact and may 20" at the withers if that. She's 1 years old approximately.

She is going into the vet tomorrow to be spayed and all of her routine vaccinations done (rabies and DHLLP). All she needs is a great home for Christmas....can you imagine being in the shelter since August? She's not in danger, but if you are thinking of adding to your home, she would be great.

Kathy, my heart breaks for her...so I couldn't allow her to be passed up because of not being spayed and being black.

Our shelter got the farm vet around here to get her done for $60 (everything) but they had to call in a favor or two.

The good news is that 3 labs were adopted yesterday (lab/dane mix, the labradoodle, and a yellow female), so no dogs are going to be put down this week. Anything I can do to help a dog not get put down, I am going to try to do. :)

Dani...she is just beautiful...( and just a baby) ....bless you for rescuing this girl....I, too, hope she can be in a new home for Christmas...:snowman:

That is great Dani. I just saw this post. She reminds me so much of my Buster. He was a 50lb lab mix that adopted me and my family when he was 12 weeks, at least that is what the vet thought his age was. He was my first dog and I learned a lot about labs because of him.
