OP is currently on Eukanuba LB Puppy. He is almost 8 months old.

Im not crazy about the food he's on and he does have a bad case of dandruff along his back.

His poops are too big and too frequent in my opinion ... apparently he isnt overly sensitive to grains and such ..

Would you recommend I add a supplement (and if so what) or switch his food at this time.

The kibble I am considering is 'California Natural' or 'Blue Buffalo'

Any input would be greatly appreciated.....

That's what I did and it worked.

My lab was taking the derma-caps and still had dandruff. Vet said at about 6 months she might also grow out of it. Well, seems like a few things happened at once so it's hard to say what worked (she turned about 6 months old when i upgraded her food).

Bottom line, consider upgrading your food.
