I've been feeling very strange since last evening. A lot of pressure down there and in my lower back. This morning, I've been going to the bathroom a lot. I'm not sure if it's contractions but I'm feeling a little cramping. No "Show" though.:confused:

For those who've been there before, how did you feel and did you know this was the day?

Lots and lots of energy the day before and the day of. The other signs were just contractions.

This sounds like back labor. I had it durring one of my labors. I was on the phone with a nurse for the OB describing to her what I was feeling and she started timing me. I was in labor and delivered about 5 hours later.

SOunds like you ar egetting ready to go. Start keeping track of your contractions!

Definitely start timing the contractions.
You may want to call your doctor also to see what s/he wants you to do. Every doctor is different so I always felt it was better to call and have them tell you to take a nap then not call and deliver in the car on the way!!!

I know my mom said when she had me she started feeling strange the night before, nothing earth shattering but just not right either. Kind of like you are describing. She waited until morning and then called the doctor, he told her to come in right away. I was born 2pm that afternoon.

When I was about to have my son, I had my regular doctor's appt. in the morning. That afternoon, I felt "weird". My low back hurt, was going to the bathroom constantly, I felt like I was getting sick. That continued the rest of the afternoon and that night, I went to bed early. I really felt like I was about to get a nasty flu. All that night, I was up going to the bathroom, had cramps in my low back, low stomach (like when you are sick). We were staying at my mom's house and my ex went and got her. She said if you are getting sick, the cramps you are having are 3 min. apart! I told her that there was no way. I had been to the doc in the am and he said I had at least another 2 weeks to go.

SURPRISE! At 1.45 pm the day after my doc's appt., my son was born.

I wish you lots of luck. It sure sounds like you are "there". I hope you have an easy labor and look forward to seeing baby pics when you are up and ready for it!

I had back labor with both of the girls. Dull, low pressure, frequent trips to the bathroom, and a really upset stomch.Good luck!!

Oooooooh those sound like the beginnings of labor my dear!! :)

Like Ann, the day before both my others I was a bundle of uncontrolled energy!! Also - the night before I literally "cleaned" out my system.....I wont go into too much detail and will keep the TMI to myself, but I had upset tummy the night before and spent alot of time in the bathroom. Afterwards, the doctor said tat was normal. ;) Pressure "down there" will likely lead into contractions - so keep track and good luck! Im so excited for you!! :hug:

Sounds like your getting there. I too had the clean out on the potty the night the contractions started. Crampy feeling that got stronger and more frequent, low back pain, and you can definately feel the difference in how low the baby is. Everytime I would try to move or get up it just felt so weird and heavy and pressure in your cervix. Good luck, try to relax as much as possible, drink fluids cuz once you get there you only get ice chips and I was so thirsty the whole time.

I haven't had a baby but I have a good story. I had a new mom to be come to the office with low back pain but otherwise feeling great and when I checked she was 3cm (I forget her effacement) and I sent her to Labor and Delivery for a special afternoon:D. Definately time them and call your doctor! Keep us posted...we'll be thinking of you!:)

Any news on Ti-Loup. I have a feeling she may be having her baby.

False alarm......I talked to my mom and she had the same thing for 4 days prior to having my younger sister. I have an apointment this afternoon to see how things are progressing. I'll keep you all informed.

I thought you were well on your way. I had the same thing where I had the pre labor going on for 4 days too. If it is any kind of trend sounds like in the next few days. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Well, we got to see our little one yesterday, he's got big cheeks!! Everything looks good, so they sent us home. Today though, I'm having the "Bloody Show", so I'm thinking it's getting close. No contractions yet, but I have a doctors apointment tomorrow morning.

What does bloody show mean?

"Bloody show" is basically losing your mucus plug. Which "plugs" up your cervix. It mean she is dialting! YEAH!!! ;)

What does bloody show mean?

You loose your mucous plug, it blocks your cervix while pregnant. You loose it prior to labour starting, could be days or hours or minutes.
